Postdoc in machine learning

me

I'm a postdoctoral researcher working under Emmanuel Candès at Stanford University. I completed my Ph.D. under Richard G. Baraniuk in the DSP Group at Rice University. I was also a guest doctoral candidate at the Technical University of Munich with Reinhard Heckel for the Winter 2021–2022 semester. I'm interested in developing algorithms for solving machine learning and optimization problems and analyzing what makes successful algorithms perform so well. In particular, I am interested in theoretically understanding the emergent behavior of successful heuristics applied in machine learning practice.

Check out my research page for more about what I'm working on these days.
